KAL focuses on high student performance, whether on standardized tests, grades, or other objective measures. Students are expected to achieve a level of academic performance that will enable them to succeed at the nation's best high schools and colleges.

KAL Metrics: Student Achievement

Most students enter KAL in 5th grade reading at or below the 3rd grade level.
After four years at KAL, 85% read at or above grade level.
